چکیده

There are a variety of techniques for combining the three different images into a single image, but the main limitation is the dynamic range of the media that the photo will finally be displayed on. Paper and digital monitors, like digital sensors, are “low dynamic range” devices, and thus cannot demonstrate the greater dynamic range that has been captured. Tonemapping is one process by which high dynamic range images can be turned into low dynamic range photos while preserving detail that was not in the original low dynamic range photo. Exposure fusion, another technique, skips the conversion from LDR images to an HDR imagge, and instead directly maps the LDR images with different exposures into a single output LDR image [1].
